Water is the lifeblood of any farmland investment. Here's how Tamara Valley's 5-layer water management system guarantees supply across all seasons — even in the driest months.
In managed farmland investing, water security is arguably more important than location. A beautifully situated property with poor water management can fail within years. At Tamara Valley, water management is built in from day one.
Layer 1: Borewells with submersible pumps
Tamara Valley has multiple borewells at varying depths (200–600 ft), cross-tested for yield and seasonal consistency. We never rely on a single borewell — redundancy is built in.
Layer 2: Rainwater harvesting (RWH)
The region receives 800–1,400 mm of annual rainfall, mostly during June–September. Our RWH systems capture and channel runoff into farm ponds and storage tanks with a combined capacity in the lakhs of litres.
Layer 3: Percolation pits and swales
Keyline design and contour-based swales slow water runoff across the landscape, forcing it to percolate into the ground and recharge the water table. Over 3–5 years, this measurably raises local groundwater levels.
Layer 4: Drip irrigation
Every planted area uses precision drip irrigation, reducing water consumption by 60–70% compared to flood irrigation. Water is delivered directly to root zones — no evaporation loss.
Layer 5: Smart water monitoring
Flow meters and moisture sensors across the farm are monitored by our farm management team. We track water consumption per acre per month — transparent reporting to all investors.
The result:
Tamara Valley has maintained uninterrupted water supply since launch — including during drought conditions. Water security isn't just a farming issue — it's an investment protection issue.
